"Medellín DigitalUsing Technology for Economic and Social Development
Medellín Digital is government program created by City of Medellin and supported by the commitment of a city-wide network composed of public, private and social partners. This partnership works together to improve the digital inclusion and foster the social, economic and cultural development of the city.
The mission of Medellín Digital is to develop a more educated, prosperous, united and globalized city with equal digital opportunities where all its citizens are able to grasp and make use the benefits of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in every facet of their lives. Medellín Digital aims at promoting the application of ICT by focusing on three main areas: education, entrepreneurship and e-government, amid the broader lines of society, culture and the economy.
Overall, the mission of Medellín Digital is to qualitatively and quantifiably improve the digital inclusion of the city by creating and developing the complete digitalization of the city and thus propelling Medellín into the globalized world with the adequate and appropriate tools for its economic, cultural, international, and academic progress.
